When?

August 17 - 19 for an intensive three day bootcamp, followed by three half-day sessions over the following three weeks. Participants will be required to commit to the full course duration and will receive certificates of completion at the end of the course.

What does it cost?

The cost per participant is R5000, however full and partial sponsorships are available to participants who are able to provide motivation for this assistance.

Freelance and full-time journalists interested in adding data and social media journalism to their skill set.


What is provided?

  • Ideally you should have your own laptop, but computers will be provided for those who do not have one.

  • We are based in Claremont, five minute walk from a train station, and we are on both bus and taxi routes. We understand travelling can be a prohibitive expense for some candidates and we will provide transport assistance for those able to motivate it.
